VCE03 & VCE10

The new VCE03 & VCE10 ranges of low cost green power AC-DC power supplies are available as encapsulated or open frame. Their compact design features an integral EMC filter and hold-up capacitor so no external components are required, giving a genuine space saving solution for Information Technology Equipment (ITE), Internet of Things (IoT), industrial and domestic applications.  
Both series have class II isolation (no earth) with approvals to world-wide safety standards including ITE and household, and are compliant with class B conducted and radiated emissions.
These devices have a wide continuous input range of 85 to 305VAC covering all nominal AC inputs from 100VAC to 277VAC in a single compact design. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +70°C, with full power available to +50°C (please see data sheet for derating from +50°C to +70°C). The operating altitude is 3048m.
The no-load input power is less than 300mW. There is a choice of seven standard models in both the 3W and 10W versions with single outputs of 3.3, 5.0, 9.0, 12, 15, 24 or 48VDC. All models feature overload, overvoltage & short circuit protection.
The input to output isolation is 3kVAC. For the VCE03 an external 1A fuse (300VAC Time-lag) is required to provide input protection, the VCE10 has an internal (non-serviceable) 1A fuse for this purpose. Standards include: EN55032 Class B for conducted and radiated emissions (no external filter components required); Safety approvals: CB IEC60950-1 & IEC62368-1 (ITE) IEC60335-1 (household) for the encapsulated version IEC61558 (power supply units); UL UL62368-1 (ITE); TUV EN62368-1 (ITE).
The standard VCE03 units are encapsulated in a black plastic SIL PCB mount case (fully potted) that measures only 1.60” x 0.75” x 0.75” (40.6 x 19.1 x 19.1mm). An open frame version is also available, specified by a -P on the end of the part number, dimensions are 1.50” x 0.65” x 0.65” (38.1 x 16.5 x 16.5mm).  
The VCE10 series are encapsulated in a black plastic DIL PCB mount case (fully potted) that measures 2.00” x 1.15” x 0.91” (50.8 x 29.2 x 23.1mm). An open frame version is available, specified by a -P on the end of the part number, dimensions are 1.90” x 1.05” x 0.88” (48.3 x 26.7 x 22.4mm).
The VCE03 & VCE10 provide a cost-effective solution for Internet of Things (IoT) including home automation, heating & lighting control, smart metering, set-top box & multiple industrial applications where a compact, low-cost AC-DC power supply is required.
